Identita zasluhujícího a její konstruování příjemci sociálních dávek

Abstract

The bachelor thesis "Identity of deserving and it's construction by social benefit recipients" explores the ways the benefit recipients reach deservingness. While public discourse presents users of social benefits as inactive people, who abuse state social support, benefit recipients themselves perceive their position in a different way. Deservingness plays the role of a powerful instrument in the relation institution-claimant, by means of that the officers distinguish between deserving and undeserving recipients and against that they have to demonstrate themselves. The claimants try to reach the identity of deserving by means of many strategies, which on the on hand reflect public discourse of state social support, on the other hand potential failure during this identity negotiation and consequently alternative ways of presentation of deservingness. The research was empirically oriented, qualitative interviews used for analysis were inspired by principles of collaborative dialogue [Anderson 2009], which enables to depict that identity negotiation in the context of situatedness [Goffman 1999] of informants. Bakalářská práce "Identita zasluhujícího a její konstruování příjemci sociálních dávek" se zabývá způsobem, jakým dosahují příjemci sociálních dávek zásluhovosti (deservingness). Zatímco veřejný diskurs prezentuje uživatele dávek jako neaktivní lidi, kteří zneužívají sociální pomoc, příjemci dávek svou pozici vnímají jinak. Zásluhovost hraje ve vztahu instituce-žadatel roli mocenského nástroje, pomocí kterého úředníci rozlišují mezi zasluhujícími a nezasluhujícími uživateli sociálních dávek, a vůči němuž se žadatelé musejí vymezovat. Identity zasluhujícího se přitom snaží dosahovat různými způsoby, jež na jedné straně odrážejí veřejný diskurs sociální podpory, na druhé straně neúspěch při vyjednávání této identity a v důsledku toho alternativní prezentace zásluhovosti. Výzkum byl empiricky zaměřený, kvalitativní rozhovory užité pro analýzu byly inspirovány principy kolaborativního dialogu [Anderson 2009], jenž umožňuje ono vyjednávání identity zachytit v situovanosti [Goffman 1999] informátorů. Ti na jedné straně aktivitou, hledáním práce či dobrým finančním hospodařením odpovídají na všeobecnou představu o ideálním žadateli [např. Howe 1990], na druhé straně vlivem neúspěchu takto prezentované zásluhovosti argumentují novými atributy zasluhujícího, jako např. zásadami životního stylu či osobní...
