It is presenting Arend Lijphart's theory of consociational democracy and Benjamin Reilly's theory of centripetalism as possible solutions to achieve stability of a democratic regime in a divided society. It is analyzing particular factors that have contributed to the stability of Indian democracy, including effects of the electoral system. The final part of the Thesis is discussing the consociational nature of the Indian demcracy. | en_US |
| cs_CZ |
