Listy heroin aneb šest antických hrdinek pro současné jeviště

Abstract

This thesis deals with six chosen poems from Ovid's collection Epistulae Heroidum (Heroides). It explores these in their potential for dramatic staging, both during the early principate and today. Aside from the analysis of the linguistic aspects of the texts the collection is dealt with dramaturgically, particulary in the area of the dramatic composition of the finalised text. Utmost importance is given to the main themes of the individual poems, which have the potential to resonate with today's audience. The theses includes the author's own translation of the chosen poems.

Práce se zabývá šesti vybranými básněmi z Ovidiovy sbírky Listy heroin (Epistulae Heroidum, Heroides), které zkoumá z hlediska potenciality ke scénickému uvedení, jak v době raného principátu, tak v současnosti. Kromě rozboru jazykových aspektů textu bude s Listy nakládáno dramaturgicky, zejména v otázkách dramatické skladby výsledného textu, ale především s ohledem na témata, o kterých jednotlivé Listy mluví a která mohou rezonovat i na současném jevišti. Součástí práce je i autorčin umělecký překlad zmíněných Listů.
