Stavební program Juby II

Abstract

Práce se zabývá problematikou "stavebního programu" mauretánského panovníka Juby II. Cílem je postihnout hlavní charakteristické rysy Jubovy stavební činnosti a zasadit je do kulturního a politického kontextu soudobého Středomoří. V úvodu je vymezena práce z hlediska historického, kulturního a teritoriálního, následně se věnuje jednotlivým urbanistickým či stavebním počinům Juby II. Tyto jevy jsou pak sledovány ve srovnání jednak vzájemně a jednak s činností dalších soudobých osobností, zejména Augusta a Heroda Velikého. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

This thesis deals with the issue of building program of the Mauretanian ruler Juba II. Its aim is to capture the main features of Juba's building activity and put them in the cultural and political context of the contemporary Mediterranean. At the beginning, the thesis is defined in historical, cultural and territorial terms. Then the work describes Juba's urban and building achievements.
