Překlad jako součást kulturního působení Boženy Šimkové (1881-1958)

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá osvětově výchovnou činností překladatelky Boženy Šimkové zacílenou na děti a mládež. Je analyzována jak její původní, tak překladová tvorba. Práce se dále zabývá situací v původní a překladové tvorbě pro děti a mládež na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Následně je provedena rozsahově omezená translatologická analýza úryvků z díla Malé ženy a vysledované tendence jsou konfrontovány s dalšími vybranými překlady. The thesis focuses on culturally educating activities of Božena Šimková aimed at children and teenagers. Both her own literary and her translation work are analysed in the thesis and the situation of original and translation creation at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries as well. Last part deals with translatological analyses of six representative extracts from her translation of Little women and tendencies drawn from this analysis are compared with some of her other translations.
