Slash Fiction

Abstract

Diplomová práce shrnuje aktuální teoretizace reinterpretací mediálních textů v žán- ru slash fiction. Slash fiction rozvíjí homosociální vztahové a dějové motivy obsažené v populárních filmech, sériích, seriálech a knihách do homosexuálních zápletek mezi po- stavami. Práce poukazuje na problematičnost studia slash fiction pouze na základě jejích děl a prezentuje možné teoretické přístupy, které by mohly napomoci hlubšímu po- chopení fenoménu při výzkumu publika a autorů_rek. This thesis summarises the current theoretical background of reinterpretations of media texts written in slash fiction genre. Slash fiction develops homosocial and relational plot motifs contained in popular movies, series and books into homosexual subplots among particular characters. The thesis highlights the problematic nature when studying slash fiction on the basis of fictions and presents theoretical approaches that might deepen understanding of the phenomenon in researching audience and authors.
