Alén Diviš a Kytice od Karla Jaromíra Erbena

Abstract

Předložená práce se zabývá ilustracemi Aléna Diviše k baladám z Kytice Karla Jaromíra Erbena. Je rozdělena na dvě části. První část se věnuje vztahu Divišových ilustrací k básnické sbírce, východiskům jeho práce a sledování ilustrací v rámci dobového kontextu, ale také kontextu malířovy tvorby. Snažím se zde poukázat na to, že Divišovy ilustrace nepředstavují novou uměleckou etapu, ale syntézu předchozí tvorby čtyřicátých let. Zároveň jsou úzce spojeny s Divišovým životním osudem. V druhé části se věnuji jednotlivým ilustracím, jejich různorodé technice a motivům. Důležitým aspektem je také sledování vztahu mezi konkrétními ilustracemi a verši. Práce se snaží představit Divišovy ilustrace jako jedinečný cyklus, který je existenciální výpovědí malíře zasaženého těžkým životním osudem, čímž přesahuje pouhou formu ilustrací k baladám největšího českého romantického básníka. This thesis deals with illustratons to Kytice ballads by Karel Jaromír Erben. It is divided into two parts. The first section is focused on relations of the illustrations and the collection of poems as well as the historical context and the context of other painter's works. I try to point out that Diviš'es illustrations do not represent a new artistic stage but a synthesis of his previous works from the forties. In adition, the illustrations are closely connected with the artist's own destiny. In the other section of my thesis I analyse individual illustrations from the point of view of their different technics and motives. Another aspect follows relations between the illustrations and contents of respective individual poems. To sum up, the thesis aims to introduce Diviš'es unique collection of illustrations as an existential message of an artis stricken by his fate; that goes beyond ordinary illustrations for the ballads of the gratest Czech romantic poet.
