in English The thesis Questions of Globalization in the Context of Public and Political Theology focuses on defining the concepts of globalization, public theology, and political theology, and examines their interrelationship. Through a comparison of scholarly texts and an analysis of relevant literature, the thesis seeks to determine whether, and to what extent, a correlation exists between globalization processes and public theological discourse. The findings indicate that such a correlation does exist, though it is neither automatic nor self- evident-it depends on the degree of authenticity with which public theology engages in the public sphere. The thesis concludes that public and political theology have the potential to positively influence broader societal realities, provided they do not remain confined within intra-ecclesial frameworks and instead respond to the current challenges of the contemporary world. The proposed approach may contribute to a stronger grounding of public theology within the Czech context, where a systematic and practically applicable framework for it is still lacking.
