Vliv sociokulturních zdrojů v rodině na školní výsledky žáků 2. stupně ZŠ

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of sociocultural resources in the family and its influence on the academic achievement of secondary school students. It examines the role of the family and its various forms of cultural capital in relation to students' literacy performance and academic achievement in Czech language in the ninth grade of secondary schools and lower grades of comprehensive schools. In the theoretical part, the thesis first focuses on a description of the current Czech education system, then discusses reading literacy and presents existing research. The last part defines the notion of cultural capital and its conception in the present time. The methodological part presents the international PISA research. The analytical part is devoted to a secondary analysis of the PISA 2018 data and uses statistical methods to test how the reading climate, the number and types of books, reading in leisure time, parental education and parental support of children's school success, including with respect to the type of school attended, students' scores on the reading and text skills assessment, and grades in Czech language, affect reading achievement. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem sociokulturních zdrojů v rodině a jejím vlivem na školní výsledky žáků 2. stupně základních škol. Zkoumá, jakou roli sehrává rodina a její různé podoby kulturního kapitálu v souvislosti s výsledky žáků ve čtenářské gramotnosti a se známkami z českého jazyka v devátých ročnících základních škol a nižších stupních víceletých gymnázií. V teoretické části je práce nejprve zaměřena na popis současného českého vzdělávacího systému a na to, jakou úlohu sehrávají v českém školství rodiče. Dále se zaobírá čtenářskou gramotností a představuje dosavadní výzkumy. Poslední část definuje pojem kulturní kapitál a jeho pojetí v současné době. V metodologické části představuje mezinárodní výzkum PISA. Analytická část se věnuje sekundární analýze dat PISA z roku 2018 a za pomocí statistických metod testuje, jak ovlivňuje čtenářské klima, počet knih a jejich druhy, čtení ve volném čase, vzdělání rodičů a jejich podpora dětí ve školním úspěchu, a to i s ohledem na typ navštěvované školy, výsledky žáků v hodnocení dovedností ve čtení a práci s texty a známky z českého jazyka. Závěrečnou část práce tvoří shrnutí výsledků sekundární analýzy a diskuze, v níž popisuje hlavní zjištění, která byla cílem této práce.
