Dobrovolnictví seniorů

Abstract

The thesis examines the volunteer activities of seniors. It focuses on the intensity and nature of senior volunteering. In the theoretical part, it defines related concepts such as formal and informal volunteering, old age, and outlines life course theory. The thesis examines senior volunteering in the context of life course theory. The empirical part works with secondary factor analysis of quantitative data conducted against the background of life course theory. The aim of the thesis is to offer answers to research questions concerning the intensity and nature of senior volunteering and thus provide insights into current senior volunteering in the Czech Republic.

Diplomová práce zkoumá dobrovolnické aktivity seniorů. Zaměřuje se na intenzitu a charakter dobrovolnictví seniorů. V teoretické části vymezuje související pojmy jako formální a neformální dobrovolnictví, stáří, a nastiňuje teorii životního cyklu. Práce se zabývá dobrovolnictvím seniorů v souvislosti s teorií životního cyklu. Empirická část pracuje se sekundární faktorovou analýzou kvantitativních dat vedené na pozadí teorie životního cyklu. Cílem práce je nabídnout odpovědi na výzkumné otázky týkající se intenzity a charakteru dobrovolnictví seniorů a poskytnout tak náhled na současné dobrovolnictví seniorů v České republice.
