Kulturní význam grafiti a jeho obraz v médiích

Abstract

This practical bachelor thesis documents the creation of graffiti. In the practical part it documents the work of the Czech CSR writer crew during several different events and in the theoretical part it presents the history, development and transformation of the graffiti subculture in the Czech Republic. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The practical part, entitled Art under the cover of night, is the main part of this bachelor thesis. The photobook consists of a series of photographs taken with digital and analogue cameras. The photographs were taken during 2021 and early 2022. The aim of this thesis is to present the phenomenon of graffiti through a series of photographs. The photographs document the actual process of creating graffiti from the role of an observer on different occasions in different environments. The thesis aims to present and document the process of creation itself in a practical part. In the theoretical part I also focus on the way graffiti is (and the subculture associated with it) is perceived in selected domestic media and what image the media convey to the public about this artistic discipline. Praktická bakalářská dokumentuje tvorbu graffiti. V praktické části dokumentuje práci české writerské crew CSR, během několika různých akcí a v teoretické části představuje historii, vývoj a proměnu subkultury graffiti v České republice. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. Praktická část, nazvaná Umění pod rouškou noci, je hlavní částí této bakalářské práce. Fotokniha se skládá z série fotografií pořízených na digitální i analogový fotoaparát. Fotografie vznikaly během roku 2021 a začátkem roku 2022. Cílem této práce je představit fenomén graffiti sérií fotografií. Fotografie dokumentují samotný proces tvorby graffiti z role pozorovatele při různých příležitostech v rozdílných prostředí. Práce má za cíl prezentovat v praktické části samotný proces tvorby a dokumentovat ho. V teoretické části se zaměřuji i na způsob, jakým je graffiti (a subkultura s ním spojená) vnímána ve vybraných tuzemských médiích a jaký obraz o této umělecké disciplíně média předávají veřejnosti. V teoretické části v první řadě definuji slang, který je v subkultuře používán. Dále stručně představuji, jak se v ČR graffiti vyvíjelo. V teoretické části se nezaměřuji blíže na proces fotografování, ale spíš na to, co jsem fotil.
