Kontroverze kolem administrativních budov Transgas v kontextu památkové ochrany architektury z dob socialismu

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá kauzou administrativních budov Transgas, která probíhala v letech 2015-2019. Transgas, nacházející se v Praze 2 na Vinohradské třídě, je v práci představen v kontextu vývoje československé architektury a urbanismu v druhé polovině 20. století. Jsou zde popsány konkrétní vlivy a okolnosti, které ovlivnily vznik a styl této stavby, která je na pomezí brutalismu, high-tech architektury a postmoderny. Tato práce se zaměřuje rovněž na analýzu průběhu řízení o prohlášení Transgasu za nemovitou kulturní památku a uvádí protichůdné názory odborné veřejnosti na tuto problematiku. Bakalářská práce poukazuje na krizi dnešní památkové péče, kdy Ministerstvo kultury a další orgány památkové péče odmítají i ceněnou architekturu z dob socialismu chránit, což může vést v důsledku i k demolici objektu jako v případě Transgasu. The bachelor thesis deals with the case of demolition of the Transgas administration buildings in 2015-2019 which evoked a broad discussion among specialist as well as public community. The Transgas buildings built in Vinohradská třída, Prague 2, are presented in the work in context with the development of the Czechoslovak architecture and urbanism of the second half of the 20th century. Concrete influences and circumstances that influenced the construction of the buildings and their architectural style ranging between brutalism, high-tech and postmodernism are described. The work focuses on the analysis how the process of declaring of the Transgas to be the architecturally valuable object proceeded and shows at the same time the controversial opinions expressed by the expert community. The bachelor thesis points to the crisis of temporary landmark protection policy by which the Ministry of Culture as well as other authorities of landmark protection refuse to protect the valuable piece of architecture because it represents the socialist era, which, as it is in the case of the Transgas, may lead as a result to the demolition of a valuable object.
