Vliv nových sociálních hnutí na rozvoj Západního Berlína na příkladu iniciativy SO 36 ve čtvrti Kreuzberg

Abstract

Tato práce pojednává o vlivu nových sociálních hnutí na rozvoj Západního Berlína s důrazem na čtvrť Kreuzberg a občanskou iniciativu SO 36, a sice v časovém období od roku 1979 do roku 1984. Hlavním cílem práce je zodpovědět otázky, jakými způsoby nová sociální hnutí ovlivnila městskou a bytovou politiku Západního Berlína, a jaké kroky podnikali členové kreuzberských sociálních hnutí k její změně kromě fyzického obsazení domů. Práce se v širším kontextu zabývá novými sociálními hnutími v SRN, především pak squattingem v Západním Berlíně. Dále se práce věnuje i západoberlínské městské části Kreuzberg a jejímu vývoji po stavbě Berlínské zdi do počátku vlny squattingu na konci 70. let včetně popisu tehdejší urbánní politiky. Ústředním tématem práce je přitom občanská iniciativa SO 36, která prvními obsazeními prázdných domů za účelem jejich opravy přispěla ke vzniku vlny squattingu v Kreuzbergu a potažmo i jiných částech Západního Berlína. V práci jsou analyzovány různé způsoby, jakými se členové iniciativy snažili ovlivnit tehdejší městskou a bytovou politiku, jako např. vydávání vlastního měsíčníku či informačních letáků. This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of new social movements on the development of West Berlin with emphasis on the Kreuzberg district and the SO 36 citizen initiative in the time period from 1979 to 1984. The main aim of the thesis is to answer questions on how the new social movements influenced the urban and the housing policy of West Berlin, and what steps the members of the Kreuzberg social movements have taken to change it apart from the physical occupation of houses. In a wider context, the thesis deals with new social movements in Germany, mainly with squatting in West Berlin. The thesis is also devoted to West Berlin's Kreuzberg district and its development after the construction of the Berlin Wall until the beginning of the squatting wave in the late 1970s, including a description of the then urban policy. The central focus of the thesis is the SO 36 citizen initiative that contributed to the creation of the squatting wave in Kreuzberg and other parts of West Berlin by the first occupations of vacant houses in order to repair them.
