Vývoj tisku v Itálii v období 1943-1956

Abstract

The bachelor thesis titled "Development of Printed Media in Italy in the Years 1943-1950" is an analysis of the historical conditions of media publishing in Italy after the defeat of fascism. It is an attempt to reconstruct the main events that took place in printed media, particularly newspaper, in the period after the fall of fascism and the end of the Second World War. The thesis maps the relationship between the media and political and economic power. It discusses the system of printed media and who and under what conditions could work as a journalist at that time. There is also a description of the methods used for the organisation of journalists. The thesis starts with a brief historical overview of the social situation in the era of the beginning, rise and fall of the totalitarian regime. After the defeat of fascism and Nazism, Italy was facing the difficult task of dealing with its own past and establishing new rules. The attempt to cleanse the society and media (known as the "purification of journalism") was a long and complicated process. The thesis aims to determine what topics were the journalists focusing on and what was the basis of their discussions. The post-war period, ending with the success of Christian Democrats in the election, was the beginning of a new stage of political development...

Bakalářská práce "Vývoj tisku v Itálii v letech 1943-1950" je analýzou historických podmínek vydávání médií v Itálii v období po porážce fašismu. Je pokusem zrekonstruovat hlavní události, které se odehrály v oblasti tištěných médií, především denního tisku, v období po porážce fašismu a po konci druhé světové války. Mapuje vztahy médií s politickou a ekonomickou mocí. Pojednává o systému tisku a o tom, kdo a za jakých podmínek mohl v daném období vykonávat žurnalistickou práci. Přibližuje způsob, jakým byli novináři organizováni. Práce je uvozena stručným historickým přehledem společenské situace v období nástupu, vzestupu a pádu totalitního režimu. Po vítězství nad fašismem a nacismem byla Itálie postavena před těžký úkol - vypořádat se s minulostí a stanovit nová pravidla. Pokus o očistu společnosti a médií (tzv. očista novinářského stavu) byl dlouhým a komplikovaným procesem. Práce zjišťuje, jakými tématy se novináři zabývali a jaká byla východiska takových diskusí. Poválečné období, uzavřené volebním úspěchem Křesťanské Demokracie, nastartovalo novou etapu politického vývoje a zlepšování hospodářské situace. S tím došlo k dalším změnám ve struktuře tisku.
