Produkce sitcomů v České republice v porovnání se zahraničím

Abstract

The aim of the thesis "Comparison of the Czech sitcom production with foreign countries" is to define the sitcom characteristics, Outline its history in the three countries, The United States of America, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (hereinafter only as USA and GB) and the Czech Republic, describe production in our country, with subsequent comparison with other countries and finally to provide an answer for the question: " Why is not the Czech sitcom production of the same quality as abroad, especially as in The USA and GB?" The result is a summary of the differences between Czech and foreign sitcom productions. Meanwhile it provides an answer for the question possessed in the begining. The differences lie mainly in the orientation of the actors, their teams and schools in each country. In the Czech Republic, attention is focused primarily on theatrical play or film, and work around it. Other differences lie in financial sphere and and a lack of experience. Yet it is evident that Czech sitcoms have potential in the future. Also to some unsuccessful sitcoms that we have been able to see on television.

Cílem bakalářské práce "Produkce sitkomů v České republice v porovnání se zahraničím" je vymezit charakteristické prvky sitkomu. Nastínit jeho historii ve třech zemích, ve Spojených státech amerických, ve Velké Británii a v České republice. Popsat produkci v naší zemi, s následným porovnáním oproti zahraničí. A také odpovědět na otázku: "Z jakého důvodu neprodukujeme stejně kvalitní a populární sitkomy jako například právě ve Spojených státech amerických a ve Velké Británii?" Výsledkem práce je shrnutí rozdílů mezi českou a zahraniční produkcí. Z kterých zároveň vyplývá odpověď na položenou otázku. Rozdíly spočívají především v zaměření herců, realizačních týmů a škol v jednotlivých zemích. V České republice je pozornost orientována především na divadelní hraní, případně filmové, a práci okolo něj. Další odlišnosti spočívají ve financích a zkušenostech, kterými disponujeme v poměrně malé míře. Přesto je patrné, že české sitkomy mají v budoucnu potenciál. I díky některým nepříliš povedeným sitkomům, které jsme doposud mohli na televizních obrazovkách spatřit.
