Debata okolo reforem francouzských univerzit (2007-2010)

Abstract

Bachelor thesis "The Debate Concerning Reforms of French Universities (2007-2010)" deals with the debate provoked by protests against the Law relative to liberties and responsibilities of universities (La loi relative aux libertés et responsabilités des universités, LRU) in the second half of 2007 and against the reform of the statute of a part of French academicians (enseignant-chercheurs) in the first half of 2009. Its goal is to find the core of the most discussed polemics. Primary sources of the debate are taken mainly from academic journals Le Débat, Commentaire, Esprit. French system of higher education is briefly characterized at the beginning of the first chapter. It's followed by a presentation of reforms of French universities and of protests they have provoked. Next five chapters deal with divergent opinions on most discussed topics: Causes of academic protest movement in the summer semester 2008/2009. Quantitative and qualitative methods of scholars' evaluation. Governance of reformed French universities. The shape of French universities before the reforms and role that universities should play after them. Feasibility of university autonomy in the French system were the ideal of equality is particularly respected and where the state will continue to be the major university investor.

Bakalářská práce "Debata okolo reforem francouzských univerzit (2007-2010)" se zabývá diskuzí, kterou vyvolaly protesty proti Zákonu o svobodách a zodpovědnostech univerzit (La loi relative aux libertés et responsabilités des universités, LRU) v druhé polovině roku 2007 a proti reformě statutu části francouzských akademiků (enseignant-chercheurs) v první polovině roku 2009. Práce si klade za cíl vystihnout jádro polemiky u témat, které byly nejvíce diskutované v odborných časopisech Le Débat, Commentaire, Esprit a v několika dalších akademických publikacích. V úvodní kapitole je nejprve krátce charakterizován francouzský systém terciárního školství a výzkumu. Poté jsou představeny reformy univerzitního systému a reakce, které vyvolaly u studentů a akademiků. V následujících pěti kapitolách jsou kvalitativně analyzovány názory na nejdiskutovanější témata: příčiny akademického protestního hnutí v letním semestru 2008/2009; způsoby hodnocení vědy a vědců; samospráva reformovaných francouzských univerzit; stav francouzských univerzit před reformami a ideální stav po reformách; a realizovatelnost univerzitní autonomie ve francouzském systému, kde je velmi uznávaný ideál rovnosti (égalité) a kde bude univerzity nadále financovat především stát.
