Víra a moderní ateismus ve španělské narativní próze kolem r. 1900: Baroja, Unamuno, Palacio Valdés

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the question of faith and modern atheism as reflected in three works from the late 19th and early 20th century: Miguel de Unamuno, San Manuel bueno, mártir; Pío Baroja, El cura de Monleón; Armando Palacio Valdés, La fe. The motives of faith, modern atheism, certainty and uncertainty are described in the thesis, and their similarities and differences are analysed on the basis of given works by authors of Spanish narrative prose. In the specific cases of the main characters, priests, their inner battle, the progression of the crisis of faith and the confrontation with their doubts are analyzed. The final point of reference for each of them is found to be something distinct, either devoted service in love without faith, or rationalism, or fideism. The subject is viewed from the perspective of theology, the church of the time and modern atheism and philosophy.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou víry a moderního ateismu, jak se tento motiv odráží ve třech dílech z konce 19. a počátku 20. století: Miguel de Unamuno, San Manuel bueno, mártir; Pío Baroja, El cura de Monleón; Armando Palacio Valdés, La fe. V práci jsou popsány motivy víry, moderního ateismu, jistoty a nejistoty, na základě daných děl autorů španělské narativní prózy, jsou analyzovány jejich společné a rozdílné aspekty. V konkrétních případech hlavních hrdinů, kněží, je analyzován jejich vnitřní boj a průběh krize víry a konfrontace s pochybnostmi. Konečným východiskem pro každého z nich je něco jiného, buď oddaná služba v lásce bez víry, nebo racionalismus, nebo fideismus. Na problematiku je nahlíženo z hlediska teologie, církve dané doby a z pohledu moderního ateismu a filozofie.
