Melodická variabilita řeči v závislosti na afektivní valenci politické debaty

Abstract

This thesis investigates the impact of affective valence on intonation variability within the context of spontaneous speech acts in the Czech language. It is based on an examination of speech patterns by three discussants in a political debate. For this purpose, we have chosen three analytical parameters: intonational span, number of melodemes in one breath group, and cumulative slope index (CSI), the last of which is a new parameter for the description of the overall variability of intonational contours. In addition, another parameter described changes of the median of f0. The theoretical framework of this thesis draws on concepts stemming from phonetics and psychology. The research sample consists of a twenty-minute recording of a political TV debate between two politicians, chaired by a moderator. The specifics of this sample are discussed in the theoretical part of this thesis. In our own investigation, we first examined the material manually with regard to the affective valence of each breath group, followed by a phonetic analysis and a statistical analysis. Tato práce zkoumá vliv afektivní valence na intonační variabilitu spontánní češtiny tří účastníků politické debaty. Pro tento výzkumný úkol si stanovila tři parametry intonační variability, na jejichž vztah s afektivní valencí (jakožto jednou z dimenzí afektivního dimenzionálního modelu) se zaměřuje. Těmito parametry jsou intonační rozpětí, počet melodémů v nádechovém úseku a ukazatel kumulativní strmosti (který představuje nový parametr pro zkoumání celkové proměnlivosti intonační kontury). Kromě variability byl prozkoumána též hlasová poloha mluvčích (pomocí mediánu f0). Práce v teoretické části seznamuje se svými psychologickými i fonetickými východisky a zmiňuje předchozí zjištění v daném oboru, na jejichž základě stanovuje své hypotézy. Pro samotný výzkum byla použita dvacetiminutová spontánní nahrávka politické debaty mezi dvěma politiky a moderátorem. Specifika vybrané komunikační situace jsou v teoretické části rovněž upřesněna. Po manuálním pracování materiálu a určení afektivní valence pro každý nádechový úsek byla tato nahrávka foneticky analyzována a výsledky prezentovány pro každého mluvčího zvlášť.
