Pražská honorifikační urbanonyma v období 1945-1989 a jejich podíl na formování identity socialistického velkoměsta

Abstract

This Ph.D. thesis investigates Prague urban toponyms used between the end of the Second World War and 1989. While the number of texts concerned with names of public spaces within cities/towns has been rising continuously since the 1980s, no detailed analyses have been presented that focus on urban toponymy as it was used during the Communist Party reign in Czechoslovakia. This Ph.D. thesis examines commemorative names with an objective to trace the development of urbanonymy of this period, perceiving commemorative names as the most suitable instrument that can be used to describe how Prague toponymy, a politicized space reflecting historical milestones as well as claims staked by the elites then in power, formed. The theoretical part of the Ph.D. thesis seeks to both define commemorative names and offer classification thereof based on a variety of classification criteria including, without limitation, lexico- semantic and structural criteria. Additionally, the theoretical part touches upon urban space and its memory as well as on how urban landscape myths are created by officially sanctioned urban toponyms. P edkládaná diserta ní práce se zabývá urbanonymií hlavního m sta Prahy v období od konce druhé sv tové války do roku 1989. P estože po et text v novaných názvosloví m stských ve ejných prostranství od 80. let 20. století kontinuáln roste, podrobné analýzy urbanonymie v dob vlády komunistické strany v eskoslovensku doposud nebyly provedeny. Vývoj urbanonymie daného období je v diserta ní práci sledován prost ednictvím honorifika ních jmen, na jejichž základ lze nejlépe popsat formování pražské toponymické krajiny jako politizovaného prostoru, reagujícího na d jinné zvraty i mocenské nároky vládnoucích elit. Diserta ní práce se ve své teoretické ásti v nuje jak samotnému vymezení honorifika ních urbanonym, tak i jejich klasifikaci, která je provedena podle nejr zn jších klasifika ních kritérií (p edevším lexikáln -sémantického a strukturního). Teoretická ást práce se dotýká i problematiky m stského prostoru, jeho pam ti, orientace v n m, jakož i vytvá ení mýt m stské krajiny, k jejichž vzniku m la napomáhat ú edn schválená m stská toponyma. Teoretický rámec je v druhé ásti práce aplikován na urbanonymický materiál samotný.
