Komentovaný překlad vybraných úseků textu Putin's Dragon, The New Yorker magazine, 2016

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to translate selected parts of the article Putin's Dragon by Joshua Yaffa from English into Czech and provide a commentary on the translation. The article was published in The New Yorker magazine in January 2016. The commentary contains a translation analysis of the original text, the description of translation method and translation problems, including their solutions, and the typology of translation procedures and shifts. Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit z angličtiny do češtiny vybrané úseky článku Putin's Dragon. Článek byl publikován v časopisu The New Yorker v lednu 2016 a jeho autorem je Joshua Yaffa. Součástí práce je komentář, jenž obsahuje překladatelskou analýzu originálu, překladatelskou metodu, popis překladatelských problémů včetně jejich řešení a také typologii překladatelských postupů a posunů.
