Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to discover and to sname the specific resources and procedures which were present at the birth of the theatre expressionism in our country. The first method used to find the solution to that was a compilation of the secondary literature followed by the method of analysis and comparison of the selected articles in the review Scéna review published between 1913 and 1914. Doing this research we have found out the main expressionist resource in the theatre was especially the stage economy, i. e. reducing decorations to the minimum, acting in unity, a simplicity and an utmost coordination of words and gestures. The greatest benefit of this work is exploring the period of the early expressionism as well as analysing the review Scéna which had a leading role in presenting modern drama then. Cílem diplomové práce je nalézt a pojmenovat konkrétní prostředky a postupy, které stály u zrodu divadelního expresionismu u nás. V řešení bylo použito nejdříve metody kompilace sekundární literatury a následně metody analýzy a komparace vybraných článků v časopisu Scéna, který vycházel mezi lety 1913 a 1914. Provedeným výzkumem jsme zjistili, že mezi hlavní expresionistické prostředky v divadle patří především ekonomie na jevišti, tedy zredukování dekorací na minimum, celková jednota hry, jednoduchost a maximální souhra slova a gesta. Přínosem této práce je probádání období raného expresionismu a zároveň komplexní rozbor periodika Scéna, které bylo ve své době tribunou moderního dramatu a divadla.
