Abstract

and key words This bachelor thesis is an attempt at a detailed analysis of the term «little man». The first chapter includes coherent reviewing of different aspects of general formulation of the term. The second chapter is dedicated to the characters of so-called Petersburg Tales by Nikolai Gogol, as they are the most representative examples of the «little man» type. The third chapter examines the characters of Andrei Platonov's work, compares them with Nikolai Gogol's characters and takes a stand against interpreting Platonov's characters as «little men». The analysis is primarily based on secondary sources, because the term «little man» itself is an abstraction, used mainly in literary criticism, thus, implementation of an analysis using primary literature only seems to be impossible. a klíčová slova Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou pojmu «malý člověk». V první kapitole jsou postupně probrány různé aspekty obecné formulace pojmu. Druhá kapitola je věnována postavám "petrohradských" povídek N.V. Gogola, jelikož jsou nejreprezentativnějšími představiteli typu "malý člověk". Třetí kapitola pojednává o postavách A.P. Platonova, srovnává je s postavami N.V. Gogola a polemizuje se vnímáním postav A.P. Platonova jako "malých lidí". Analýza z větší částí vychází ze sekundarní literatury proto, že samotný pojem "malý člověk" je literárněvědnou abstrakcí, jejíž rozbor nelze uskutečnit jenom na základě primárních zdrojů.
