Nástěnné malby v kapli sv. Kříže na hradě Karlštejn

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá nástěnnými malbami nacházejícími se ve třech okenních výklencích v kapli sv. Kříže na Karlštejně. V první části práce je zhodnocena literatura zabývající se hradem Karlštejnem a zde se nacházejícími nástěnnými malbami. Tato část předkládá názory předchozích i současných badatelů, které se v rámci vymezeného tématu pokusí kriticky zhodnotit. V dalším oddíle práce stručně uvádí a popisuje ostatní nástěnné malby, jež se na hradě Karlštejn nachází a mimo jiné se kapitola dotýká i složitého ikonografického programu hradu, který protkává veškeré sakrální prostory hradu a vrcholí kaplí sv. Kříže ve Velké věži. Práce dále podrobně rozebírá jednotlivé výjevy ze tří výklenků kaple sv. Kříže, jejich ikonografii, autorství a dále se vyrovnává s restaurátorskými zásahy, jež byly v posledním století v kapli učiněny. Cílem této práce je především uvedení do problematiky, představení dosavadních poznatků a restaurátorské činnosti, a následně jejich rámcového zhodnocení.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the mural paintings located in the three window niches of the Chapel of the Holly Cross in Karlštejn castle. Part One of this thesis examines the literature concerning Karlštejn castle and the mural paintings located inside, and interprets the opinions and critical appraisals of past and present researchers. Part Two briefly introduces and describes the other mural paintings of Karlštejn castle, and outlines the complex iconography of the entire castle, which weaves together all the sacred spaces of the castle, culminating in the Chapel in the Great Tower. Part Three analyses in detail the individual scenes depicted in the three niches of the Chapel of the Holly Cross, their iconography and authorship, and evaluates the restoration efforts carried out in the last century. The primary aim of this thesis is to introduce the topic of these mural paintings, together with a critical evaluation of the literature, sources, restoration reports and historical surveys related thereto.
