Základní problémy osaměle žijících matek

Abstract

My Batchelor thesis focuses on problematics of single motherhood and the fundamental pro- blems of it. The theoretical part is focused on the changing position of women through the history, and with it the role of mothers and fathers in families. The following chapter discusses the subsidiarities provided by the state to mothers and considers to which extent the Czech Republic is a welfare state. The last chapter of this part explores employment opportunities for single mothers in European comparison. It also proposes a set of guidelines to improve the situation. The empirical part describes process and results of my qualitative research. Four mothers have described their lives and shared their opinions on difficulties in their lives. The aim is to find out, how these single mothers live and what are the fundamental problems they face.

Má bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice samoživitelství a základním problémům s tím spojeným. V teoretické části se zaměřuji proměnu postavení žen a matek v historii. Dále proměny rodiny a rolí mužů a žen v rodinách. V následující kapitole se soustředím na roli státu v ži- votě matek, na jakou finanční pomoc mohou dosáhnout a jak moc sociálním státem Česká republika je. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na trh práce a jeho nabídky pro matky samoživi- telky, včetně evropského srovnání. Nabízí také řešení, jak situaci zlepšit. V praktické části provádím kvalitativní výzkum pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se čtyřmi matkami samoživitelkami. Popisuji životní situaci matek samoživitelek a jejich názory na problémy v jejich životě. Cílem rozhovorů je zjistit, jak matky žijí a co je pro ně nejvíce obtížné překonat.
