Legitimizace popírání arménské genocidy zahraničními akademiky

Abstract

V této bakalářské práci se zaměřím na zahraniční akademiky, kteří popírají arménskou genocidu. Turecká vláda tyto akademiky finančně podporuje, a proto zastávají vůči arménské genocidě postoj této vlády. Je důležité seznámit se s událostmi z roku 1915, které jsou označovány jako genocida Arménů, a také postoj Turecka vůči této skutečnosti. Tyto události jsou téměř všemi mezinárodními organizacemi, jež se danou problematikou zabývají, označovány za genocidu. Tato práce také poukazuje na podobnost mezi popírači holocaustu a popírači arménské genocidy. Popírači arménské genocidy se sami označují za historické revizionisty. Tito akademici tak vzbuzují objektivnost a vědeckost své práce. Jejich práce tak vytváří nebezpečí změny historie, kdy by v konečné fázi byla genocida popíraná.

In this bachelor thesis I will try to point out to foreign academics, who deny the Armenian genocide. These academics are also financially bound to the Turkish government, and therefore they accept the attitude of the Republic of Turkey. It is very important to present Turkey's attitude as well events of 1915, which are presented as armenian genocide. These events are branded as genocide by almost all international organizations, which inquire into these issues. This thesis also points out to the similarity between the Holocaust deniers and the deniers of Armenian genocide. Nevertheless these academics do not called themselves as genocide deniers, but as historical revisionists, which is a misnomer. Under this title, they present their studies as an expression of objectivity and scientific character. This produces a dangerous revision of history , which eventually will be denying the genocide.
