The following bachelor thesis consists of two parts - translation of two chapters from a French book by Georges Poisson Les Maisons d'écrivain and a commentary to this translation. The text is a guidebook to the houses of French writers. In the commentary, we analyse the source text, describe the method of translation, problems we dealt with during the translation as well as translation procedures we used.
