Využívání nástrojů časné diagnostiky a krátké intervence zdravotními sestrami u pacientů s podezřením na škodlivé užívání nebo závislost na alkoholu nebo tabáku

Abstract

Vzhledem k vysoké prevalenci užívání alkoholu a tabáku v mladistvé i dospělé populaci v České republice je možné pozorovat i častý výskyt onemocnění související s nadměrným a rizikovým užíváním těchto látek. Zdravotníci, zejména všeobecné sestry, se nacházejí v ideální pozici pro provádění screeningu a krátké intervence s cílem zmírnit rizikovost užívání alkoholu a tabáku. V rámci platné legislativy České republiky je zdravotnickým pracovníkům ukládána zákonná povinnost poskytnout krátkou intervenci osobě, u níž zdravotník pojme důvodné podezření na rizikové užívání návykové látky či syndrom závislosti. V teoretické části této práce je shrnuta aktuální situace v oblasti prevalence a incidence užívání alkoholu a tabáku v ČR, základní onemocnění vyplývající z nadměrného užívání alkoholu a tabáku, metody časné diagnostiky a krátké intervence a role všeobecných sester v poskytování krátké intervence. Výzkum provedený v rámci této práce byl realizován na interních odděleních akreditovaných zdravotnických pracovišť v Praze formou kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření. Given the high prevalence of alcohol and tobacco use among minors and adult population in the Czech Republic a high incidence of diseases related to excessive use of these substances can be observed as well. Health care professionals, especially nurses, are in a unique position for implementation of screening and brief intervention in order to reduce risk and harmful substance abuse. Legislation of the Czech Republic regarding harmful consequences of risk alcohol and tobacco use obliges them to conduct brief intervention in suspected cases. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes the current situation regarding prevalence and incidence of alcohol and tobacco use in the Czech Republic, describes diseases resulting from excessive alcohol and tobacco use, defines methods for early detection and brief intervention and finally characterizes the role of nurses in providing brief interventions.
