Exilové periodikum "Nedělní hlasatel" na přelomu let 1989/1990

Abstract

Týdeník Nedělní hlasatel patří datem svého vzniku, rokem 1891, k nejstarším krajanským periodikům vůbec. Představuje zajímavou sondu do způsobu myšlení krajanské komunity, v průběhu času, v důsledku historických událostí v Evropě se postupně stává také periodikem exulantským. Reflexe událostí roku 1989 obráží úhel pohledu jeho tvůrců, z velké části dobrovolných přispěvatelů hodnotících vývoj z odstupu a zohledňujících vlastní životní zkušenosti a představy. Texty vynikají přímočarou syrovostí, jazykovým stylem a důrazem na české národní tradice připomínající myšlenkový svět první poloviny dvacátého století. Důvodem je skladba autorů a přispěvatelů, tvoří v zásadě dvě základní skupiny, první, usedlíci žijící ve Spojených státech již po mnoho generací, přejímají lingvistickou skladbu češtiny a myšlenkový svět svých rodičů a prarodičů, druhá, poúnoroví a z menší části posrpnoví exulanti si přinášejí obraz vlasti v podobě, jakou ji pamatují v době svého odchodu. V politickém zaměření článků a zpravodajských komentářů převažuje důsledný antikomunismus s určitými prvky křesťanského konzervatismu.
