Letní olympijské hry v době studené války (Moskva 1980 a Los Angeles 1984)

Abstract

Práce se zabývá dějinami olympijských her, které se konaly v roce 1980 v Moskvě a o čtyři roky později v americkém Los Angeles. Tyto dvě velké sportovní akce byly ovlivněny politickou situací. Sovětský vojenský zásah na konci roku 1979 v Afghánistánu, vedl k bojkotu olympijských her ze strany USA a řady dalších států. Jednalo se o největší bojkot v historii her. Nepřímo také vedl k bojkotu her v Los Angeles Sovětským svazem a jeho satelity o čtyři roky později. Proto je historie obou olympiád analyzována v mezinárodně-politickém kontextu. V tomto ohledu jsou nejdůležitější vzájemné vztahy mezi Sovětským svazem a USA, zmíněny jsou i další důležité události mezinárodní politiky 70. letech, včetně sovětsko-afghánských vztahů. V případě obou olympiád jsou uvedena důležitá fakta týkající se organizace her, zázemí, sportovišť, výsledků a další. Zmíněn je i vliv bojkotu na obsazení individuálních a týmových soutěží obou olympiád. Část práce je věnována i československému pohledu na celou problematiku. Tyto dějiny obou olympiád, mezinárodní situace a způsob, jakým byly prezentovány a přijímány v Československu té doby jsou výsledkem komparace s odbornou literaturou a zvláště soudobým tiskem. The work deals with the history of the Olympic Games, which were held in Moscow in 1980 and four years later in Los Angeles. These two major sporting events have been very affected by the political situation. The Soviet military intervention in Afghanistan in the end of 1979 led to the boycott of the Olympic Games from the US and a number of other States. I t was the largest boycott of the history of the games.Also indirectly led to the boycott of the games in Los Angeles, the Soviet Union and its satellites four years later. It is therefore both Olympics history analyzed in political context internationally. In this respect are the most important relations between the Soviet Union and the United States, mentioned are the other important events of international politics in the 1970s. years, including the Soviet-Afghan relations. In the case of two Olympiads are mentioned important facts concerning the Organization of the games facilities, sports venues, results and more.
