Vliv Karibské krize na politickou kariéru J.F.Kennedyho a N.S.Chruščova

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Caribbean Crisis and its impact on the political career of the US President John Fitzgerald Kennedy and the First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev. The case study examines the political careers of both representatives of the Great Powers and compares their development before and after the Caribbean crisis. The thesis is divided into eight chapters; at first outlines the issue of the Missile Crisis and then the personality of John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev. The aim of this work is to evaluate the effects of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The crisis outcomes and impacts were reflected on different level of influence and public perception of its two main actors.

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o Karibské krizi a jejím vlivu na politickou kariéru prezidenta Spojených států amerických Johna Fitzgeralda Kennedyho a prvního tajemníka Komunistické strany Sovětského svazu Nikity Sergejeviče Chruščova. Komparativní případová studie zkoumá politické kariéry obou představitelů velmocí a srovnává jejich vývoj před i po Karibské krizi. Práce je rozdělena do kapitol, kde je nejprve nastíněna problematika Karibské krize, poté osobnost Johna Fitzgeralda Kennedyho a Nikity Sergejeviče Chruščova. Cílem této práce je komparovat důsledky Kubánské raketové krize. Důsledky, které se rozdílně projevily na působnosti dvou světových lídrů, a na vnímání jejich osobností širokou veřejností.
