Demokracie a islám: Muslimové ve Francii - dopady imigrační a integrační politiky

Abstract

For liberal-democratic country of Western Europe such as France it is difficult to accept immigrants, who bring different traditions, culture and especially religion, which carries with its specific demands. Above that strong nationalism, patriotism and pride of its own cultural traditions are typical for France. Therefore the communication and tolerance for significantly different and inadaptable citizens may be difficult. The proposed thesis will focus on Muslims living in France. From a historical perspective it will devote to the period from the end of the World War II up to now, when the numbers of immigrants of Muslim origin have begun to rise rapidly. France is trying to deal with it on its own, but today, in general, the criteria for granting citizenship and universally the claims for adaptation increase both in the legislation, and also significantly in the approach of French citizens to immigrants. For a more accurate understanding of the topic it is necessary to clarify the differences between various groups of Muslims in terms of their time of arrival in France, the country of origin and the type of professed Islam. Pro liberálně demokratickou zemi západní Evropy, jako je Francie, je obtížné přijmout přistěhovalce, kteří přinášejí odlišné tradice, kulturu a zejména náboženství, které s sebou nese specifické nároky. Nadto je ve Francii typický silný nacionalismus, patriotismus a hrdost na své vlastní kulturní tradice. I z tohoto důvodu může být komunikace a tolerance vůči výrazně odlišným či nepřizpůsobivým přistěhovalcům obtížná. Navrhovaná práce se zaměří na muslimy žijící na území Francie. Z historického hlediska se bude věnovat období od konce 2. světové války dodnes, kdy počty přistěhovalců muslimského původu začaly rapidně stoupat. Francie se s tím snaží vyrovnat po svém, ale dnes obecně platí, že kritéria pro přiznání občanství a všeobecně nároky na přizpůsobení se zvyšují jak v oblasti zákonodárství, tak značnou měrou i v přístupu francouzských občanů k přistěhovalcům. Pro přesnější pochopení tohoto tématu je nutné vyjasnit rozdíly mezi různými skupinami muslimů z hlediska doby příchodu do Francie, země původu i vyznávaného směru islámu. Ve své práci popíši různorodost muslimů, kteří ve Francii žijí, dále budu zkoumat dopady imigrační a integrační politiky Francie právě na tyto obyvatele.
