Komentovaný překlad: The Laws of Cricket (Marylebone Cricket Club, 2003)

Abstract

První částí této práce je překlad úvodu, preambule, prvních 15 pravidel a příloh A a B z publikace The Laws of Cricket. Účelem tohoto překladu je jeho použití při hraní kriketu českými mluvčími v České republice i jinde. Kriket je však v ČR málo rozšířený a musely tak být vytvořeny některé nové české termíny. Druhá část práce se zabývá překladatelskou analýzou originálu podle Christiane Nordové z hlediska extratextových a intratextových faktorů, vytyčuje hlavní překladatelské problémy a popisuje jejich řešení, ukazuje, jaký byl postup při překladu, a vyjmenovává posuny, které v překladu nastaly.

The first part of this thesis is a translation of the Preface, the Preamble, the first 15 Laws and Appendices A and B from The Laws of Cricket. The aim of this translation is that it will be used by Czech speakers while playing cricket in the Czech Republic or elsewhere. Cricket in the Czech Republic is not a widespread sport and thus several new Czech terms had to be created. The second part analyzes extratextual and intratextual factors of the original text according to Christiane Nord, describes the main translation problems and their solutions, shows the translation method and lists shifts which occurred in the translation.
