První bulharský stát v historické paměti období byzantské nadvlády a druhého bulharského carství

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou historické paměti v kontextu bulharských středověkých dějin. Jejím hlavním cílem je zhodnocení role, jakou hrála historická paměť na První bulharský stát v období byzantské nadvlády a Druhého bulharského carství. V první části práce je kriticky zhodnocen dosavadní pohled bulharské historiografie na tuto tematiku. Část pojednávající o historické paměti v období byzantské nadvlády má za cíl zhodnotit, jakým způsobem a v jaké podobě se mohla historická paměť na První bulharský stát uchovat. Snaží se postihnout tuto paměť jako dynamický proces. Věnuje se jak příčinám, které vedly k postupnému rozpadu historické paměti po zániku Prvního bulharského státu, jakými byly rozpad domácích vyšších elit či ztráta politického centra. Stejně tak analyzuje faktory, které pomáhaly paměť na tento stát uchovat. V třetí části se práce zabývá způsobem, jakým způsobem bylo s historickou pamětí na První bulharský stát nakládáno v Druhém bulharském carství. Zkoumá způsob, jakým byla historická paměť využívána k legitimizaci samotné existence Druhého bulharského státu a poté se na základě dobových pramenů pokouší se postihnout rozsah a využití znalostí, které o dějinách Prvního bulharského státu v Druhém bulharském carství kolovaly. This thesis deals with the historical memory in the context of Bulgarian medieval history. Its main objective is to evaluate the role played by the historical memory of the first Bulgarian state in the period of Byzantine domination and the Second Bulgarian Empire. In the first part of this work the current view of the Bulgarian historiography on this topic is critically reviewed. A section, which focuses on historical memory during period of the Byzantine rule aims to assess how and in what form could the historical memory of the First Bulgarian state preserve. It tries to describe this memory as a dynamic process. It aims at the causes that led to the gradual disintegration of historical memory after the end of the First Bulgarian State, such as the decay of higher domestic political elites and loss center. It also analyzes the factors that helped to store memory about the state. In the third part of the thesis deals with the way how was the historical memory of the first Bulgarian state treated in the Second Bulgarian Empire. It examines the way in which historical memory has been used to legitimize the very existence of the Second Bulgarian State.
