Psychologické aspekty péče o člověka s Alzheimerovou nemocí

Abstract

Diplomová práce "Psychologické aspekty péče o člověka s Alzheimerovou nemocí" se zabývá problematikou rodinných pečovatelů a jejich obvykle mnohaletou zkušeností s péčí o blízkého člověka. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na přechodové období po smrti blízké osoby s Alzheimerovou nemocí a na život pečovatelů následující po skončení péče. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení pojmů Alzheimerova nemoc, péče a pečovatel, sleduje průběh péče od jejích počátků až do období po smrti nemocného člověka a zamýšlí se nad tím, jak pečovatelé tuto zkušenost prožívají a jak jí rozumí. V empirické části práce představuje kvalitativní výzkum, konkrétně analýzu polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se čtrnácti pečovateli, jejichž blízká osoba s Alzheimerovou nemocí již zemřela. Přináší interpretaci vybraných témat v období péče a převážně v období po skončení péče a odborníkům tak nabízí možnosti, kam konkrétně zacílit svou pomoc.

The master thesis, "Psychological Aspects of Care of a Person with Alzheimer's disease," focuses on the issues of family caregivers and their long experience with the care of a close relative. The thesis emphasizes the transition of the death of a close person with Alzheimer disease and the life that follows. The theoretical part contains explanations of important terms such as Alzheimer disease, care and caregiver. It follows the caregivers career from the onset of the disease until the period after the death of the care recipient. Further, it reflects how caregivers experience and understand the care. The empirical part introduces qualitative research - semi-structured interviews with fourteen former caregivers. It interprets several important topics from the period of the care and the period after the death of the care recipient. Lastly, it makes the recommendations on where the professionals should target their help.
