Uplatnění informační profese ve farmaceutické firmě Zentiva

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to outline the organization and content of work of an information profession in the field of research and development pharmaceutical company Zentiva. The text goes from general aspects of the information profession to its specific applications in selected pharmaceutical company. In the introductory chapters information profession is presented in a broader context of information society, its growing information needs and capabilities of information services in various fields of human activities. The work focuses on application of information profession in the field of science and technology, with the view of describing pharmaceutical industry and its operation. Characteristics of the pharmaceutical company Zentiva with its specific information needs in research and development follow. The fifth key chapter describes the organization and resposibilities of information specialists, providing information services for research and development of Zentiva. The last chapter briefly describes competitive intelligence as a tool of competitive advantage on a market. Theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is based on the relevant scientific literature, concrete information have been consulted with responsible specialists of the company.

Cílem práce je nastínit organizaci a náplň práce informační profese realizující se v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje farmaceutické firmy Zentiva. Práce vychází od obecných aspektů informační profese k jejímu konkrétnímu uplatnění ve vybrané farmaceutické společnosti. Informační profese je v úvodních kapitolách zasazena do širších souvislostí informační společnosti, jejích narůstajících informačních potřeb a možností využívání informačních služeb v nejrůznějších oblastech lidské činnosti. Je rozebírána typologie informačních pracovníků, náplň jejich práce a potřebné kompetence. Práce blíže specifikuje uplatnění informační profese v oblasti vědy a techniky, jež je dále zúžena na farmaceutický průmysl a popis jeho fungování. Navazuje charakteristika farmaceutické firmy Zentiva a jejích konkrétních informačních potřeb v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje. Klíčová pátá kapitola popisuje organizaci a náplň práce informačního specialisty zajišťujícího informační servis pro výzkum a vývoj Zentivy. Poslední kapitola stručně charakterizuje competitive intelligence jako podpůrný nástroj pro konkurenceschopnost firem v tržním prostředí. Teoretické části práce vycházejí z příslušné odborné literatury, konkrétní praxe je pak zpracována na základě odborných konzultací s odpovědnými pracovníky Zentivy.
