This paper comaprates two passages - Jer 31:31-34 and Eze 36:23-28 - which are very close to each other. Both are prophetic speeches to the house of Israel and their key themes are covenant and renewal of heart. First, the biblical term ble heart is analysed, then the exegesis of both passages is proceeded with the use of common dictionaries (TDOT, HALOT) and commentaries (AB, Jerome's Biblical Commentary, WBC). Then a comparation of the passages is made, considering also comparation of the whole books. Finaly the paper confronts its outcome with the document of PBC: The Jewish People and their Sacred Scriptures in the Christian Bible, which tracts this subject shortly. Keywords: Jeremiah - Ezekiel - covenant - hearten_US
