Historická sociologie genocidy: Jak vzniká genocida?

Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation work is an in-depth analysis of the phenomenon of genocide, the urgency of which is tragically demonstrated by current global events. The aim of the work is to uncover the complete dynamics of the genocidal process, from its initial stages, through the course of the genocidal phase, to the events following the end of genocidal violence. This complex issue is mapped through methodological approaches of qualitative research, specifically document analysis and four extensive case studies. Firstly, based on the synthesis of the data found and the research conducted within the framework of an extensive pilot case study, a new conception of the genocidal process is proposed. Subsequently, the applicability of this conception is tested on three further, no less extensive, case studies. The final result of the work is a comprehensive theoretical model of the complete dynamics of the genocidal process, which identifies key phases, mechanisms, and factors contributing to the emergence and development of the genocidal process. Účelem předkládané disertační práce je hloubková analýza fenoménu genocidy, jehož aktuálnost je tragicky demonstrována současným světovým děním. Cílem práce je odhalit kompletní dynamiku genocidního procesu, od jeho počátečních stádií, přes průběh genocidní fáze, až po události po skončení genocidního násilí. Práce mapuje tuto komplexní problematiku prostřednictvím metodologických přístupů kvalitativního výzkumu, konkrétně analýzy dokumentů a čtyř rozsáhlých případových studií. Nejprve je na základě syntézy zjištěných dat a provedeného zkoumání v rámci rozsáhlé pilotní případové studie navržena nová koncepce genocidního procesu. Poté je aplikovatelnost této koncepce otestována na třech dalších neméně rozsáhlých případových studiích. Finálním výsledkem práce je ucelený teoretický model kompletní dynamiky genocidního procesu, jenž identifikuje klíčové fáze, mechanismy a faktory přispívající ke vzniku a vývoji genocidního procesu. Tento model vygenerovaný z navrhované koncepce integruje poznatky z již existujících teorií a empirických analýz případových studií této práce, čímž poskytuje podrobný teoretický rámec pro pochopení tohoto komplexního jevu.
