Rozsivky mydlovarského souvrství (miocén, českobudějovická a třeboňská pánev) a jejich paleoekologické aplikace

Abstract

Tato práce představuje souhrn dosavadních poznatků o rozsivkách mydlovarského souvrství, významné neogenní sedimentární jednotky jihočeských pánví. Rozsivky této oblasti, považované za jednu z nejlépe prozkoumaných fosilních skupin, byly předmětem intenzivního studia dr. Z. Řehákové ve druhé polovině 20. století. Výsledkem tohoto zájmu je množství vědeckých článků (zejména zpráv o geologických výzkumech) a rozsáhlá monografická práce ve formě katalogu druhů. Integrací těchto historických diatomologických údajů s novějšími poznatky o taxonomii a ekologii rozsivek vzniká ucelenější pohled na druhové složení a potenciální paleoekologické charakteristiky rozsivkových asociací. Tento přístup vytváří pevný základ pro navazující studia zaměřená na paleoekologii, stratigrafii a taxonomii. Proto je součástí práce rovněž návrh možných směrů dalšího výzkumu, které reflektují aktuální trendy v oblasti diatomologie a aplikaci moderních analytických metod. Rešeršní část je doplněna o přehled platné synonymiky všech druhů rozsivek popsaných z mydlovarského souvrství ke dni zpracování práce, což může přispět k efektivnějšímu využití soudobých přístupů při práci s fosilním materiálem.

This thesis presents a comprehensive summary of current knowledge on diatoms from the Mydlovary Formation, a significant Neogene sedimentary unit of the South Bohemian basins. Diatoms from this region, considered one of the best-studied fossil groups, were the subject of intensive research by Dr. Z. Řeháková in the second half of the 20th century. This research resulted in numerous scientific articles (particularly Geoscience Research Reports = zprávy o geologických výzkumech) and an extensive monographic work in the form of a species catalogue. By integrating these historical diatomological data with more recent insights into diatom taxonomy and ecology, a more coherent picture emerges of the species composition and potential palaeoecological characteristics of diatom assemblages. This approach lays a solid foundation for future studies focusing on palaeoecology, stratigraphy, and taxonomy. Therefore, the thesis also includes suggestions for possible directions of further research, reflecting current trends in diatomology and the application of modern analytical methods.
