Concerned with photography studies, this master's thesis focuses on studying the nature of photography, its role in the modern society, the perception of photography, and its changes rather than the history, sociology and the psychology of photography. It is based on an anylysis of a variety of paradigma in media studies, in particular Lasswell's communication theory, Flusser's, Baudrillard's and Manovich's theories, and media archeology.
