Užívání alkoholu u studentů vysokých škol hlásících se k LGBTQ komunitě

Abstract

Background: Being non-heterosexual is still not fully accepted in the Czech Republic and research shows that the stressors that affect community members, negatively impact their mental health and therefore can among others cause substance abuse. Studies to date point to the distinct role of alcohol in this community and its increased use. Aim: The aim of this study was to map and describe alcohol use among university students aged 18-26 years who identify as members of the LGBTQ community. Three hypotheses were established for the realisation of the objective. The hypotheses chosen are as follows: Homosexual men have higher scores on the AUDIT questionnaire than homosexual women. Bisexual people have higher scores on the AUDIT questionnaire than people who identify as homosexual. Respondents who score higher on the AUDIT questionnaire suffer more from internalized homophobia. Methods: The work was carried out as a quantitative research, an online questionnaire which contained 39 items was created. Východiska: Byt neheterosexuální není v Česku stále plně přijímáno a výzkumy ukazují, že stresory, které na členy komunity působí, negativně dopadají na jejich duševní zdraví, a tudíž mohou zapříčinit i zneužívání návykových látek. Dosud vzniklé studie poukazují na specifickou roli alkoholu u této komunity a na jeho zvýšené užívání. Cíl: Cílem této práce bylo zmapovat a také popsat užívání alkoholu u studentů vysokých škol ve věku 18-26 let, kteří se hlásí k LGBTQ komunitě. Pro realizaci cíle byly stanoveny tři hypotézy. Zvolené hypotézy znějí: Homosexuální muži mají vyšší skóre v dotazníku AUDIT než homosexuální ženy. Bisexuální lidé mají vyšší skóre v dotazníku AUDIT než lidé, kteří se identifikují jako homosexuální. Respondenti, kteří mají vyšší skóre v dotazníku AUDIT trpí větší internalizovanou homofobií. Metody: Práce byla realizována jako kvantitativní výzkum, byl vytvořen online dotazník, který obsahoval 39 položek. Dotazník byl šířen skrze sociální sítě a skupiny, které sdružují vysokoškolské studenty a LGBTQ komunitu. Výzkumu se účastnilo 122 respondentů. Získaná data byla zpracována pomocí Microsoft Excel a dále ve statistickém programu Jamovi. Pro analýzu byla využita především deskriptivní statistika, Mann-Whitney U test a korelační analýza.
