Defektivní slovesa v současné italštině

Abstract

This thesis deals with defective verbs in present-day Italian language; i.e. with verbs which lack certain forms in their inflectional paradigm, or they lack their whole subparadigms. The main objective is to divide these verbs according to their type of defectiveness (semantic problems, phonological restrictions or inexplicable cases of defectiveness) and to draw a comprehensive list. The thesis is based on conventional grammars, dictionaries and selected references (e.g. Sims 2015). The theoretical framework identifies the key concepts essential for the definition of defectiveness, based on the existing definitions formulated by linguists and conventional grammars. The main part of this thesis consists of a comprehensive list of defective verbs. The list is drawn according to the reasons of their defectiveness together with the subdivision into corresponding categories according to their characteristics.

Práce se zabývá problematikou defektivních sloves v současné italštině, tj. sloves, kterým chybí ve flexi určité tvary či celá subparadigmata. Práce si klade za hlavní cíl rozdělení těchto sloves podle jejich typu defektivity (sémantické důvody, fonologické překážky, zcela nevysvětlitelné případy) a sestavení jednotného uceleného seznamu. Práce vychází z tradičních gramatik a slovníků a vybrané teoretické literatury (např. Sims 2015). První, teoretická část práce popisuje klíčové pojmy pro uchopení definice defektivity, slovesnou flexi a pojem paradigmatu. Dále nabízí vhled do problematiky definice defektivity na základě dostupných definic dle lingvistů a tradičních gramatik. Hlavním jádrem práce je ucelený výčet, zahrnující co největší množství takovýchto defektivních sloves, tím související rozdělení dle jejich
