Analýza mediálního obrazu války proti teroru ve vybraných českých médiích

Abstract

My bachelor thesis focused on the Afghanistan withdrawal of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces. Veterans of this conflict heavily criticized the process of withdrawing troops. However, some politicians, including the American President Biden, labelled the withdrawal as a success. The purpose of my thesis is to determine how the Afghanistan withdrawal was portrayed in the Czech Republic. I selected two news websites (iDNES.cz and Novinky.cz). Due to the amount of content, I focused my analysis on a specific time period: 08.25.2021 - 08.31.2021. With the use of key words, I determined if the majority of content was positive, negative or neutral. My findings show that negative content exceeded positive content. The negative key word "chaos" was used most often on both news websites. The analysis is not focused on the withdrawal of Czech troops. The purpose is to analyze content concerning NATO. Content concerning the withdrawal of Czech forces was considered as neutral. Apart from the analysis I studied all content concerning the Afghanistan withdrawal on news websites iDNES.cz and Novinky.cz published during August and September 2021. Bakalářská práce se zaměřila na období stahování vojsk Severoatlantické aliance (NATO) z Afghánistánu. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak byl zobrazen konec války v Afghánistánu v České republice. Veteráni z tohoto konfliktu se o způsobu stahování vojsk vyjadřovali jako o absolutním selhání a ostudě doprovázené pocity bezmoci. Někteří politici, včetně amerického prezidenta Bidena, se o situaci přitom vyjadřovali jako o úspěchu. Byly vybrány dva online zpravodajské weby (iDNES.cz a Novinky.cz). K důkladnější analýze jsem kvůli množství obsahu zvolil období: 25. 08. 2021 - 31. 08. 2021. Pomocí klíčových slov jsem zkoumal, zda převažoval obsah pozitivní, negativní či neutrální. Výsledkem bylo zjištění, že negativní obsah převýšil obsah pozitivní. Negativní klíčové slovo "chaos" se u obou zpravodajských webů vyskytlo nejčastěji. Záměrem nebyla analýza stahování Armády ČR. Analýza se zaměřila na obsah, který se týká NATO. Obsah, který hodnotí působení Armády ČR, ale nehodnotí alianci jako celek, byl zařazen do kategorie - Neutrální. Seznámil jsem se s veškerým obsahem týkajícím se konce války v Afghánistánu na zpravodajských webech iDNES.cz a Novinky.cz za srpen a září 2021. Konflikt pozoruji a studuji již delší dobu, udržuji kontakt s veterány války v Afghánistánu a bedlivě jsem vyslyšel jejich názory...
