Donbas v současné ukrajinské literatuře

Abstract

The thesis deals with the image of Donbas as a unique topos in selected works of contemporary East Ukrainian writers. Throughout the last century, the symbolic value of the region, determined primarily by the peripheral character of the area and the dominant industrial nature of the landscape, has been shaped in Ukrainian culture. Nowadays, as a result of the social developments of the last decades, and especially due to the ongoing war, the forms of the symbolic geography of the region are substantially re-evaluated and updated. The first part of the thesis outlines the historical development of the region and the dominant myths and metaphors of the Donbas associated with it - these function as a backdrop for the examination of the current literature. The core of the thesis is the analysis of selected literary works of authors coming from this region; these are mainly the works of writers Vladimir Rafeyenko, Serhiy Zhadan and poet Lyuba Yakymchuk. The specific nature of the literature of the borderlands and the representation of collective memory serve as the interpretive frameworks. Diplomová práce se zabývá obrazem Donbasu jakožto svébytného toposu ve vybraných dílech současných východoukrajinských spisovatelů a spisovatelek. Symbolická hodnota regionu, určována především periferním charakterem prostoru a dominantní industriální povahou krajiny, se formovala v ukrajinské kultuře během celého minulého století. V současnosti, v důsledku společenského vývoje posledních desetiletí, a především kvůli stále probíhajícímu válečnému konfliktu, jsou podoby symbolické geografie kraje významně přehodnocovány a aktualizovány. V první části práce je načrtnut historický vývoj regionu a s ním spjatých dominantních mýtů a metafor Donbasu, na jejichž pozadí je současná literatura zkoumána. Jádrem práce je pak analýza vybraných literárních děl autorů a autorek pocházejících z této oblasti; jedná se především o díla spisovatelů Vladimira Rafejenka, Serhije Žadana a básnířky Ljuby Jakymčuk. Interpretačními rámci jsou specifická povaha literatury pohraničí a reprezentace kolektivní paměti. Na jejich pozadí práce zkoumá zobrazované podoby jinakosti, vztah periferie a centra, symbolickou konstrukci prostoru a míst paměti či inscenaci paměti a zapomnění. Celá interpretace pak směřuje k analýze toho, jakými způsoby je konstruována donbaská identita a jaká východiska podob regionální identity...
