It points to the etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Its emphasis mainly on the prevention of the disease. The goal of this thesis is to provide quantitative research information on young women on prevention of breast cancer. This study also seeks to compare its results with similar studies. The study cohort comprises students in general medicine and general nursing at the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové. They were provided with educational material and students could try the self-test on a model designed for self-test practice.

Těžiště práce tvoří kvantitativní průzkumné šetření informovanosti mladých žen o prevenci karcinomu prsu. Práce je porovnávána s jinými závěrečnými pracemi. Zkoumaný soubor tvoří studentky oboru Všeobecného lékařství a Všeobecného ošetřovatelství na Lékařské fakultě v Hradci Králové. Byl rozdáván i edukační materiál a studentky si mohly vyzkoušet samovyšetření prsu na modelu určeném k nácviku tohoto samovyšetření.
