Volby do PS 2021: Ženy na kandidátních listinách

Abstract

During the last couple of years, the theme of women's political representation got to the forefront of the public debate. Women and men are equal regarding political rights, however, current politics are not reflecting this equality and women are underrepresented in the Lower Chamber of the Czech Parliament. Czech republic is being placed low in worldwide as well as in European rankings of women's presence within parliaments. This bachelor thesis focuses on candidate lists of chosen Czech political subjects, in particular their composition and the way in which they are being assembled considering women candidates. The partial aims of this paper are to describe past and current situation regarding women's political representation, map formal or other forms of support within the political subjects and analyze the candidate lists for the 2021 parliamentary elections. The main goal of this theses is to evaluate the degree of composition of the candidate list's or additional factor's influence on the low representation of women in the Lower Chamber of the Czech Parliament. Ženská politická reprezentace je tématem, které se v posledních letech dostalo do popředí společenské diskuze. Ženy a muži si jsou rovni v rámci politických práv, nicméně vrcholná politika tuto rovnost nereflektuje a ženy jsou v Poslanecké sněmovně Parlamentu České republiky podreprezentovány. Česká republika se dlouhodobě umisťuje na spodní pozice celosvětových i evropských srovnání v rámci ženského zastoupení v parlamentech. Bakalářská práce se zabývá kandidátními listinami vybraných českých politických subjektů, a to konkrétně jejich složením a způsobem sestavování v kontextu ženských kandidátek. Dílčími cíli práce je popis historické i současné situace týkající se ženské politické reprezentace, zmapování formální či další podpory žen ze strany politických subjektů a analýza kandidátních listin ke sněmovním volbám 2021. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit míru vlivu sestavování kandidátních listin či dalších dílčích faktorů na nízkou ženskou reprezentaci v Poslanecké sněmovně PČR. Výsledkem práce je, že vliv způsobu sestavování kandidátních listin na ženské zastoupení v Poslanecké sněmovně je zřejmý. Nicméně je nutné podotknout, že nízkému zastoupení napomáhají další faktory jako například menší zájem ze strany žen či obtížná slučitelnost vysokého politického postu s péči o rodinu a domácnost.
