Trest smrti a jeho pojetí v Apoštolské církvi

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá trestem smrti a jeho pojetím v Apoštolské církvi. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje pojem trestu, jeho funkci a účel. Zabývá se argumenty odpůrců i zastánců absolutního trestu, jejich slabými a silnými stránkami. Popisuje účel trestání v Bibli a interpretuje starozákonní a novozákonní pasáže, které se zabývají nejvyšším trestem. Empirická část práce zkoumá názory a stanoviska vedoucích v Apoštolské církvi na problematiku trestu smrti. Pro zjištění dat se v práci užívá kvantitativního šetření.

Death penalty and its perception at the Apostolic Church The Diploma thesis deals with the death penalty and its perception at the Apostolic Church. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concept of punishment, its function and purpose. It deals with the arguments of the opponents and proponents of absolute punishment, their weakness and strengths. It describes the purpose of punishment in the Bible and interprets the Old Testament and the New Testament passages that deal with the highest punishment. The empirical part of the thesis examines the views and opinions of leaders in the Apostolic Church on the issue of the capital punishment. To determine the data of the thesis is used a quantitative investigation.
