Porovnávanie možných odlišností sa v tejto práci opiera o hodnotenia vlastného spoločenského postavenie medzi skupinami ekonomicky aktívnej časti obyvateľstva zapojenej do výskumu a rozboru rodovo podmienených spoločenských nerovností. Práca sleduje mieru inklinácie k rovnostárskym hodnoteniam a postojom a k postojom viac menej liberálnym s dôrazom na individuálne zásluhy.
This baccalaureate thesis - Social inequalities in contemporary Japan a Czech society - deals with comparison of subjective judgments of existing social inequalities in Japan and Czech Republic on the basis of secondary data analysis coming from the international social survey program ISSP 1999. Analysis of this paper is done on the ground of preexisting notion that the processes of modernization have managed to erase exiting differences between modern societies. Therefore author tries to answer the question: Is it possible that the two such culturally different countries can reveal similarities in perception of social inequalities? Comparison of possible social discrepancies is based on assessment of evaluation of social status between economically active and inactive parts of population and secondly it assesses the inequalities based on gender segregation. This baccalaureate thesis tries to trace the inclination towards egalitarianism and liberal leaning towards individual efforts.
