Zobrazení vietnamských žen ve vybraných dílech americké válečné kinematografie

Abstract

This bachelor thesis analyzes the portrayal of vietnamese women in selected works of american war cinematography, which most of them were released in 1970s and 1980s, shortly after the war had concluded. While using the references and other sources, this thesis aims to cover american perception of vietnamese women, which was brought from war back to the U.S. by american soldiers and which also found its way to artworks. Based on chosen american war movies, this thesis is supposed to find out, whether the artistic reproductions are the same as the imagos described in references.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zobrazením vietnamských žen ve vybraných dílech americké kinematografie, z nichž převážná většina, až na některé výjimky, byla uvedena krátce po vietnamské válce v 70. a 80. letech 20. století. Cílem práce je za pomocí odborné literatury a dalších zdrojů vykreslit americkou představu o vietnamských ženách, kterou si američtí vojáci přivezli z války, a která se následně promítla i v uměleckých dílech. Na základě vybraných amerických válečných filmů je výsledkem práce zjistit, zda-li se umělecké ztvárnění shoduje s představami popisovanými v odborné literatuře.
