Abstract

Práce "Může být obezita přirozeným důsledkem evoluce?" s podtitulem "Srovnání hypotéz o evolučních příčinách obezity" se zabývá analýzou hypotéz, které se snaží vysvětlit vysokou prevalenci obezity z hlediska evolučního vztahu mezi faktory prostředí a subsistence s akcentem na retrospektivní disciplíny a aktuální poznatky biomedicíny. Těžištěm práce je hodnocení argumentace jednotlivých hypotéz, jejich komparace a zaujetí vlastního stanoviska k těmto teoriím. Výklad se soustředí na hypotézy, vysvětlující obezitu jako adaptaci na šetření metabolické energie, jako behaviorální adaptaci, přičemž stručně rozebírá i teorii neadaptivního původu obezity. V závěru pak práce předkládá úvahu nad nejpravděpodobnější hypotézou příčin evoluce, která by mohla být odpovědí na cílovou otázku této práce, zda může být obezita přirozeným důsledkem evoluce? Na stěžejní otázku práce nelze odpovědět jednoznačně, jelikož je tuto problematiku takřka nemožné vyřešit pouze jedinou hypotézou, která by vysvětlovala celou evoluci obezity. Cíl je tedy stanoven výběrem a komparací nejpravděpodobnějších hypotéz příčin evoluce. Z mého úsudku byly v závěru vybrány nejvýznamnější, argumentací z publikovaných časopiseckých zdrojů ověřené a doposud známé hypotézy, které by v budoucnu mohly zahrát důležitou roli ve stále rostoucí...

The bachelor thesis "Can obesity be a natural consequence of human evolution?" with the subtitle "Comparison of hypotheses about the evolutionary causes of obesity. " Is a thesis that deals with a hypothetical analysis which attempts to explain the high prevalence of obesity in terms of an evolutionary relationship between environmental factors and the environment, including an emphasis on retrospective disciplines and current knowledge of biomedicine. The main focus of the thesis is to evaluate the hypotheses' arguments, to compare them and to establish the grounds for the author`s opinion on these theories. The presentation focuses on a hypothesis that explains obesity as an adaptation of metabolic energy conservation, such as behavioral adaptation, while briefly analyzing the theory of the non-adaptive origin of obesity. In conclusion, the thesis presents the most probable hypothesis for the causes of evolution, which could be the answer to the final question of this work: Can obesity be a natural consequence of evolution? The key question of this bachelor thesis cannot be answered definitely, because it is almost impossible to solve this problem with a single hypothesis that would explain the whole development of obesity.
