Hänjŏ - fenomén ženských potapěček na ostrově Čedžu: od počátků k postupnému zániku

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsání fenoménu hänjŏ, což jsou ženské potápěčky, které žijí na jihokorejském ostrově Čedžu. Na charakteristický popis jejich práce a kultury dále navazuje historický vývoj nejen jejich práce, ale také vývoj sociálního postavení ve společnosti. Téma zahrnuje rozvoj řemesla až do současné doby, kdy jsou hänjŏ na pokraji vymizení. Následující část práce pak popisuje, jakým způsobem se jihokorejská vláda a světové organizace snaží napomoci udržení tohoto řemesla. Díky tomu se nakonec hänjŏ dostaly až na seznám národního nehmotného dědictví UNESCO.

The aim of this bachleor thesis is to descibe the phenomenon of haenyo, the female divers who live at the South Korean island Jeju. The descritpion of their manual work and specific culture follows with historical evolution not only of their work, but also the evolution of the social status in the society. This theme consists of the evolution of the hänjo profession up to the present day, when hänjo are at the edge of extinction. The other part of this thesis describes how the korean government in collaboration with world organizations tries to secure this craft. That i salso one of the reasons why hänjo got the title of the Intangible Heritage of UNESCO.
